Family Law

With over 30 years of experience in family law knows how to effectively navigate the process in legal proceedings, Lin provides Divorce and Legal Separation, and Mediation services. She ensures to develop long-term goals and execute legal strategies that take the entire family’s well-being into account. Lin also provides Child Custody & Paternity Law services to help clients involved in child custody disputes work towards resolutions that put the children’s best interests first.

Elder Law

Lin has dedicated her life to helping individuals; in addition to work as a family attorney, Lin is a registered nurse. No attorney in Spokane has a longer track record of compassionate, dedicated service to the community. Lin helps families with legal guardianship matters for families and also provides help to individuals to protect their legacy by creating wills, trusts, power of attorney documents and living wills/advanced medical directives.


Lin O’Dell assists clients with adult guardianships and minor guardianships. When an adult individual is not able to handle their own personal or financial affairs, a guardian may be appointed by the court to do so. A guardian may be appointed for a child when their parents die or become incapacitated.  She also represents adults or minors who do not wish to be placed into a legal guardianship situation.
